Yes!
I went over to Flickr and had a squiz! It's absolutely brilliant, although I do wonder, how the two of you will fit into something that small? *groan*
You can make sets for me anytime :)
that was slide show-y great! I like the rock foundation, and all the small architectural details you made as well. Wouldn't it be great to see your design realized?
Wow AWESOME!!!!
How'd you find all that perfect wood, stone and even the glass doors?
ps, can you stop "The Landlord" from auto-starting please!
Wind shear would rip the roof right off of that.
Awesome model!
That, is brilliant!
Will you make one for my Barbie??? Thanks! hahah
Great job...
that is effing awesome. super impressed. my brother made little crazy models like that when he was in school for architecture but yers is even better looking i dare say.
valency: i know!!!!
rich: it was fun, but a little stressful. we did it all, design to finish in about 4 days. sets would be super awesome. delivery might be tricky...
mallow: thanks :) yeah it was fun to see our idea realized. it would obviously never pass any building codes, but it's sure something to work with.
Dave: All the wood is balsa, the glass is clear lexan, the roof is spray painted styrene all bought at John's Hobby on the Danforth and Dragon Hobby on Gerrard near Broadview.
The rock is 1/2" gravel we scooped from the alleyway where a neighbour is doing a renovation. We made sure to wash it thoroughly before handling it and glue-gunning it together.
Seriously.
People turn tricks and smoke crack in our alley.
Odds are that all that gravel has been peed on or pooed on at one point in the last 4 months by either neighbourhood dogs or skeevy, homeless drunks.
bostick: sure. ya had to go and get all architect-y on me, didn't you. sheesh.
kathy: thanks lady. me MUST wine and dine in celebration my dear.
jlee: my barbies(yes i played with barbies when i was 6 SHUT UP!!!!) never had a house, i always had to go over to a friends, it was really annoying.
