jlee: that's great! i honestly believe that ANYONE can be creative. just try something that interests you. i often use my own photography as a starting point for my paintings. this semester I'll be working on some studies, small quick paintings, to suss out the right combinations of colour, composition and line, which can also be a basis for a larger, more complex paintings. Lots of artists do it. It's an opportunity to play around a little. Just see what happens, and don't judge it too harshly. NO ONE is good at ANYTHING the first few times around. NO ONE.
