playing with hue and space
study#2 for colour and composition class.
goal: develop a composition which incorporates an illusion of 3 dimensional space using one or more of the following devices: linear & aerial perspective, scale, position, overlapping, depth of field, warm/cool contrasts, transparency, context/viewpoint, saturated/desaturated, value contrast and spatial relationships.
size: 9"x12"
media: gouache, watercolour paper, card stock

I had a friend named Hugh. We used to play "space" but never playing with hue AND space...
I'm no art critic, but that is good.

Well I'm glad they gave you the exercise. I love this. The 3D elements really give this style of yours something else. Those little crystalline-like forms are really beautiful.
Oooooooh your projects are WAY funner than mine. I'm still stuck in community college pre-req HELL... I adore this picture. It makes my eyes happy to look at it. FAB-U-LOUS!
